Once the unit is assembled and all electrical connections are complete, rigorous quality inspection begins. The unit is powered up and all operating systems are put through their paces. Multiple criteria are assessed as the QC technicians work through the 137-point checklist before certifying that the Fusion3 unit is ready to leave the factory.
One of the most unique steps of the QC process is the way we certify the filtration efficiency of the unit. By introducing traceable fluorescent powder into the collector while it is running on the factory floor, we can detect the presence of even a tiny pin whole leak. Then locate it using the black light. Once this step is complete, final certification is granted and the unit is ready for shipment. After all, that’s what the equipment is designed to do to make sure that you get clean air. Keep in mind that a QC process of this scope can only be performed in a controlled factory environment and only where the system is completely assembled and operational.
