Sprinkler Head Port
A simple and economical option for dust collector fire suppression. The sprinkler head port is mounted directly into the filter cabinet and connected to the facility water system. It is heat-activated and sprays the cabinet with water if a fire is detected.
A Simple Solution for Fire Safety
Water is the simplest and most economical fire-fighting method available—which is why sprinkler systems are a required safety precaution in every industrial and commercial facility. The dust collector sprinkler head port taps into the same water supply used for your whole-facility sprinkler system to put out dust collector fires. As soon as heat is detected in the dust collector cabinet, the sprinkler system turns on and sprays down the filters, extinguishing the fire and preventing it from spreading to additional filter media.
One disadvantage of water-based firefighting systems is the cleanup involved after. With this system, water will flood the dust collector and its surroundings. If you are looking for a cleaner alternative to sprinklers, check out the Suprex-200 clean agent fire suppression system.
